Jamie Pottinger is an ICAO-certified ATC Instructor and aviation safety consultant with over fifty years of experience in air traffic control. His operational background spans aerodrome, approach, enroute, and traffic flow management across Canada, before transitioning into full-time instruction and course direction.

Jamie has designed and delivered ICAO-compliant ATC training programmes across Canada, the UK, Scandinavia, and the Middle East, covering all ratings. His international experience includes operational and instructional deployments in the Middle East, where he served as Aerodrome Controller, OJTI, and Unit Qualification Examiner.

Trained in SMS auditing methodologies, Jamie brings practical, operationally grounded expertise to safety management assessments and quality management engagements, supporting international clients across ATC training, recruitment, and aviation safety consulting.

In recognition of exemplary professionalism and meritorious action during a critical incident, Jamie was awarded the Canadian Air Traffic Control Award of Honour — the highest recognition available to Canadian ATC professionals.
